Thank you Lord

Lord, I just want to thank you for allowing me to have food allergies and stomach issues.  It has allowed me to help so many people.  This is opening up doors for letting my light shine for You.  When I am quick to complain about that piece of pizza, please remind me of the blessing I can be. 

Post Surgery

I am feeling great.  I am excited to go back to work on Monday.  I am so thankful for all my friends and family that have helped me during my surgery and recovery.  I am so glad my mother-in-law came to visit.  My sister came on Thursday to spend time with me.  I went shopping yesterday, but it was a little too much.  Today I stayed home, except for a dinner date with my wonderful hubby.  We are enjoying are new place.  Will post pictures soon!

Surgery Today

Today we got up at 4:15 and headed to Rex Hospital.  The experience was amazing, everyone was helpful and kind.  The doctor removed the nodule and half of my thyroid.  The preliminary report came back negative for cancer.  I was home by 3:30.  I took a nap this afternoon, and have had one pain pill to help me sleep.  That is where I am headed now.  Good night. 

No Biopsy, Surgery

I went to the doctors but he did not do the biopsy.  He does not feel that it is cancer, but it has to come out.  It is a two inch nodule that is pressing on my wind pipe.  Surgery is set for March 21th.  He is going to take the nodule and half of the thyroid and determine if it is cancer.  If it is cancer he will take the entire thyroid and I will be on medicine for the rest of my life.  We are moving next weekend and I have surgery on Monday.   I will be out of work for at least a week.  I am excited for the break but wish it was under different circumstances. 

Good Week

This has been a good week.  I was healthy and was able to work all week.  My back is feeling better today.  In two weeks we will be moving into our new place. We are both excited.
I have a mass on my throid and have a biopsy on Tuesday.  We are both nervous.  I just want to know what it is, and want to know if it needs to be removed.  If I put pressure on the mass or it gets bumped, it is very painful.  It has gotten bigger in the last week or so. 
My sister and her husband came to visit this weekend.  It was good to see them. Last night we went to Aunt Pats for dinner.  Everybody was there except for my dad.  He was working.  Bredan was there with Isabel and Noah. 
Today I went to a baby shower for Vicky.  It was a nice shower.  I am excited for the baby to come.

Sunday

Today is Sunday.  Nick is working again.  He gets off soon, but has school work to do.  I went shopping for a little while.  It was 81 degrees at 3pm.  Back to work tomorrow after 5 days off.  My back is sore from being sick. Today is the last day for my antibiotic.  I am feeling much better.  Dinner is already made. Sausage and Peppers and Onions.  Week 9 of school is starting. Will have a two week break when we move.  How perfect.  I can get our home set up, before school starts again.  Pictures to come!!

Moved to North Carolina

My husband and I moved to North Carolina in October.  Since moving here we have both found a job.  I am working with 3 year old children.  He is working at an Urgent care.  We are getting our own place in 21 days!  We are both excited.  We have been staying with family, but it is time to get our own place.
